Senate Confirms John Ring to NLRB, Giving Republicans 3-2 Majority

The Senate voted along party lines to advance President Donald Trump’s nominee, John Ring, a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius, to a vacancy on the National Labor Relations Board.

The 50-48 vote gives Republicans a 3-2 advantage on the Board. They lost their majority when former Board Chair Philip Miscimarra’s term expired in December of 2017. Member Ring, whose term will expire on December 16, 2022, takes the seat previously held by Chairman Miscimarra.
